Does biodiversity profit from the growth of Amsterdam?
The Institute for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics (UvA) and Amsterdam Green Campus will join forces with the department of Environment & Sustainability of the Municipality of Amsterdam.
The collaboration agreement will be officially inaugurated on Tuesday 28 November from 14.30-17.00 at Science park 904 with a symposium (in Dutch). This afternoon we will discuss the growth of the city of Amsterdam and the effect this has on the biodiversity in the urban environment. How can we ensure that a growing cosmopolitan city like Amsterdam remains future-proof and biodiverse? Will biodiversity grow with urban growth?
The speakers are Zef Hemel, Amsterdam Economic Board, and Peter de Ruiter, director of IBED.
The symposium focus on policiy makers and researchers in the field of biodiversity and life sciences.We hope to welcome you on Tuesday 28 November on this exciting and inspiring afternoon.
