Kubiëna Award for Dr. Herman Mücher

On 13 July at the 18th World Congress of Soil Science (WCSS) in Philadelpha, Dr. Herman Mücher received the prestigious Kubiëna Award for his 'outstanding and innovative research based on a combination of meticulous observations in the field, in the laboratory and in thin sections' .

On 13 July at the 18th World Congress of Soil Science (WCSS) in Philadelpha, Dr. Herman Mücher received from the hands of the President of the International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS) the prestigious Kubiëna Award for his 'outstanding and innovative research based on a combination of meticulous observations in the field, in the laboratory and in thin sections' . Dr. Mücher founded the UvA's micromorphological laboratory and worked as a Micromorphologist for the department of Physical Geography of the UvA until his retirement.
