Quan-Xing Liu receives 2013 Chinese governmental award

Researcher Quan-Xing Liu received the ‘2013 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Chinese Students Abroad’. He is currently working as postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics (IBED).

The Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad was founded by the Chinese government in 2003 with the purpose of rewarding academic excellence among self-financed Chinese students studying overseas. Only those with outstanding performance in their PhD studies are considered by the award selection committee. Each year, approximately 500 young Chinese talents worldwide are granted the award.

Quan-Xing Liu received the prize for his PhD research which he performed at Groningen University, and currently continues as postdoctoral researcher at the Aquatic Microbiology group of IBED at the University of Amsterdam.
