GIS studio

The GIS-studio was established in 2003 to serve staff and students of the Institute for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics (IBED) of the Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA). Students receive training and conduct research in biology, earth sciences and lately also forensic sciences through the use of the facility's state-of-the-art equipment in geographic information system (GIS), remote sensing (RS), and global positioning system (GPS).The GIS studio facilitates both Bachelor and Master of Education and projects, and research questions from university staff.
