The UvA Bird Tracking System provides the avian research community with a flexible bird tracking system and an eScience research infrastructure that can be used to investigate bird movement at multiple scales and throughout their annual routine.

The project started in 2008 and currently we collaborate with over 25 partners to investigate a large number of questions on bird movement and behaviour. Together we have tagged more than 360 birds, and stored over five million fixes in total in the UvA-BiTS database.
