  • Profile

I am a PhD student within Department of Ecosystem & Landscape Dynamics under the supervision of Dr. Carina Hoorn and Prof. Henry Hooghiemstra, and part of MyaPGR group (Myanmar Paleoclimate and Geodynamics research group, led by Alexis Licht, from University of Washington). I started my PhD project at University of Amsterdam on October 2016. In this project, I focus on two key climatic events of the Cenozoic history and research these at two sites in the south-southeastern Asian region. The specific aim is to analyse the changes in plant composition by means of pollen and spores, and determine how plants responded to climate change at the Eocene-Oligocene Transition, and in the late Miocene in this monsoon dominated region.
