Presentation of Amsterdam Water Science highlights at NKWK Conference on Water and Climate
The scientific results of four research projects initiated by Amsterdam Water Science are presented at the NKWK Conference on Water and Climate that will be held on 11 April in Amsterdam.
The aim of the NKWK Conference on Water and Climate is to strengthen the links between science, policy and the private sector and to encourage collaborative projects. The conference is hosted by the Dutch National Knowledge and Innovation Programme for Water and Climate (NKWK) and is co-organised by Amsterdam Water Science (AWS), a research collaboration between the VU Amsterdam and the UvA focusing on water sciences in the Netherlands..
Four AWS postdoc and pilot research projects will be highlighted in sessions at the NKWK Conference on Water and Climate. These are
- The AWS pilot 'Particle algae interaction in Markermeer' (session 2A)
- The AWS pilot project 'Greenhouse gas balance of contrasting wetland restoration strategies' (session 2B)
- The AWS postdoc project 'The contribution of atmospheric CO2 to phytoplankton productivity in eutrophic lakes' (session 2C)
- The AWS pilot 'Extreme weather and chain effects' (session 2D)
