Introduction

Welcome to my official University of Amsterdam webpage. Apart from studying at the University of Amsterdam from 1979 until 1985, I have been working at this University since 1991. I'm currently professor in Theoretical Ecology, focusing on the dynamics of animal (mainly fish) populations and how these dynamics are influenced by environmental factors like productivity or human influences like harvesting.
